Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and bring them to the nearest Specialized Canada dealer for a free inspection and upgrade. For more information, consumers can contact Specialized Canada toll free at 1-800-465-8887 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST Monday through Friday or through the company's website. Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form. Specialized Tarmac SL7 bicycles

Common name: Specialized Tarmac SL7 bicycles
Product description: This recall involves Specialized SL7 bicycles. The bicycles will say either Specialized or S-Works on the downtube and Tarmac on the back of the seat tube. SL7 models can be distinguished from older generation Tarmac models by their integrated (hidden) cable routing through the headset. For more information on how to identify affected bicycles, consumers should visit the company's website at www.specialized.com/safety-notices. Model Year 2020-2021 Tarmac SL7 bicycles are affected by this recall. 
Hazard identified: Harsh frontal impacts, e.g., impacting a deep pothole, may put extraordinary stress on headset components and cause the fork's steerer tube to crack. A damaged fork may pose a fall hazard to the rider. As of September 23, 2021, the company has received one incident report and no report of injuries in Canada.
Number sold: The company reported that approximately 415 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.
Time period sold: The affected products were sold from July 2020 to August 2021.
